Our 2022 picnic was a huge success due to you, our loyal and generous fans, as well as the group of wrestlers from the original Raider teams in the 1960's that made it back to Reynolds for the event!
We are especially grateful to all of you that have contributed goods, services and the all-important financial donations to the Legacy Fund which make the scholarships a reality. That such a small community can give so much is mind boggling to me - it is very appreciated!
This is the final salute (in context of the picnic) to the men of the 60's. We will always honor them as the legacy's foundation of the great Reynolds wrestling program. The following alumni of that era made it to the picnic.
Standing on the left are Joe Spicko (67), John Anderle (63), Mark Reichard (63) and Frank Fenton (62)
Kneeling on the left is Chuck Olinger (63)
Sitting in the middle are Bob Miller (63) and Mary Lineman
Standing on the right are Jim Gollner (67), Al Marzano (68), Lon Dawes (68), Dan Fry (68), Dave Mischick (65) and Charlie Loutzenhiser (67)
Kneeling to the right of Mrs. Lineman are Gerry Menold (66) and Denny Menold (67).
You can see a list and pictures of most all of the wrestlers from the 60's here.
We also recognized our first two Neal Lineman Scholarship winners, Kane Kettering ('22) and Cole Toy ('21). These young men are wonderful representatives of the program and our community. Kane will start his Freshman year at Seton Hill University this fall and Cole will return To Slippery Rock University as a Sophomore.
Once again, THANK YOU to everyone supporting our cause! By the way, the picnic is already scheduled for next year and we think we might progress through the decades so that the 70's wrestlers are honored next. But more on that at a later time.
Enjoy the rest of your summer.
